Hey all you HW2 lobby junkies. I’ve been a bit scarce recently, and since some of you are probably used to me being more active, I thought I’d bring everyone up to date on what’s going on.
I’m in last throes of completing my Master’s Thesis in CompSci at the moment, and it’s pretty much going to be my life 24/7 for the next few weeks. There have been some problems, naturally (I’ve talked to a number of people who’ve done Master’s… none of these seem to go smoothly) and it’s been a hectic and stressful time for me. And it’s not over yet!
I’m hoping that by the time the dust settles, I’ll have graduated. Wish me luck!
Since the final deadline for hardcopy is April 7th, look for me to pop up a fair bit on the 8th and 9th. I would be cool if you guys were able to show up, since I haven’t played with you guys in a while. This may be a good chance for some of you guys to come kick my a**, since I’ll be a bit rusty. This opportunity won’t come twice, so if you miss out it’s your own fault.

I just got done with my undergrad , and grad school is starting next week for me. Any tips to survive would be greatly appreciated. Keep us posted on how everything is coming along.
Thanks imp. My best tip would probably be “don’t take anything for granted”, but that may not apply quite as much at your Uni. It depends. But bascially, if you need to know a rule or a reg, you pretty much have to go to the horse’s mouth. Oh, and when it comes to your thesis, don’t expect anything to go as planned. You’ll have a much easier (or a least, much less unexpected) time of things if you do that.
Just a little update about my status. I’m defending on the 27th, so I’m working up my presentation now. This isn’t quite as intense as writing the manuscript, but it’s still no picnic. So I may pop up for one game some evenings, but that’s all I can manage until the 7th, which is when everything is said and done.
Kas im right in there with ya, im writing my Masters paper too, only for quantum physics. lol fun s***. but yea i think i took your job or should i say my old job in good turn when i was on break. played every day, only problem is i didnt ever get a really good game, too many noobs!
and i havent played in months! still did pretty good for myself. sad…
hopefully, although i dont have enough posts w/e, i can get a sig as well. something creapy. or sinister like myself.
Thanks to everyone who’s wished me luck. My defence happens at 3pm (GMT-4) on March 27 (tommorrow!). I’m a bit stressed about it but I’m pretty sure things will go well. Nothing more I can do now to prepare but try and get a good night’s sleep! (Sooo not going happen.)

IT’S ALL OVER PEOPLE! Looks like I actually get to graduate
I delivered the final copies of the manuscript earlier today. This weekend I officially have no work to do. So be sure to come and hang out on HW2 this weekend!
