whats happening in real life
Fumble Sf is getting married. My chess tournament saw us win first place this year and we also took the top three players 1, 2, 3 with one of my 7th grade girls also not only being the top middle school player but the top female player as well. If we’d have scored another win we would have tied the lead high school team, gosh they get pisssed when the loose to middle school players. The top high school team has 6 out of the 8 players from my former chess teams. Christmas is nearing, hope all is well with everyone. Merry christmas, happy holidays and when will we start a thread about SF fest. Cheeers everyone

Well for christmas I just got a 22,000 dollar grant from verizon for a science program I called VAST. The vehicle for accelerated science and technology. Everyone in the science department got new Ipads, we will get lots of training, and we got a cart with 40 Ipads for in the classroom. The kids are stoked, and so am I. Any one up for a mean game of angry birds…hehehe Merry christmas everyone

Hey Border! That’s awesome that your school got that grant–hopefully you’ll put those iPads to good use! There are some really cool science learning apps out there, I’m sure you’ll have fun learning them all
The news in Fiirks land is that I’m now halfway done with senior year of Brown. I’m applying for a few PhD programs in poli sci. I hope to study how cyber threats affect barriers to entry into war and how states perceive cyber threats. My girlfriend from freshman year and I continue to date happily, tomorrow morning I’m catching a 6:30 am flight to Utah to join her family for a few days of skiing at Deer Valley. I’m only a little excited
Next semester I’ll be the head TA for a course in my school’s comp sci department, cybersecurity and international relations. It combines my cyber love with my poli sci background; I took the course last year and I’m very excited to teach it!
I tried my hand a few nights ago at a round of HW1 and was totally useless–Volans can attest to how poorly I played. Hopefully in January I’ll have some time to get rounds in between my other travels (NYC, Maine).
Happy Birthday Isaac Newton!
You are getting to sound like someone who knows what it is you want. Way cool, and I think it is even cooler you know when Newtons birthday is..
Chalk another sharp mind up for the sciences…hehehe

That’s very good to hear, Borderlord.
I hope everyone had a very merry christmas.
